In line with our "Project Vision Aid" program, VOC has granted Blind Children's Center with 14 handheld video magnifiers for their students. Team VOC - RACING FOR RESEARCH - Making a BIG Impact!
There are three races coming up where we have Family Network Members running to raise money for VOC.
San Diego Family Network Member, Cyndie Schade, ran the San Diego 1/2 Marathon and she exceeded her $3,000 goal, raising $3,140. Ashly Stohl, is a Mom who has two sons with OA. She lives in Los Angeles and ran the "Run or Dye" 5K (http://www.runordye.com) for Vision of Children on March 9th in L.A. Running for charity AND getting pelted with all the colors of the rainbow? Sounds like FUN! Ashly raised more than $2,500 in just ONE WEEK of fundraising. Remarkable!
