The Vision of Children Foundation is excited to host “Sip to See, Springtime Tea” at the beautiful La Jolla Country Club. Guests will enjoy boutique shopping with many wonderful local vendors, a thoughtfully curated silent auction, and opportunity drawing.

The full tea service includes herbal and caffeinated tea, a variety of tea sandwiches, a sweet selection of pastries, cakes, fresh fruit, and handmade savory treats, along with welcome champagne and wine.

This special afternoon provides the San Diego community with a philanthropic opportunity to support cutting-edge research needed to cure hereditary childhood blindness.

We hope to see you there!

EVENT DETAILS

When: Wednesday, May 8, 2024 | 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM

Where: La Jolla Country Club

7301 High Ave, La Jolla, CA 92037

Co-Chairs: Kristi Pieper, Donna Vance, and Vivian Hardage

Why: We believe ALL children deserve to see clearly. That’s why, for over three decades, The Vision of Children Foundation (VOC) has funded research to find cures for genetic vision disorders and childhood blindness, and supported visually impaired children and their families.  VOC-funded researchers are exploring revolutionary new treatments, and a cure for genetic vision disorders is in sight, but it cannot be reached without your help.  Your participation in VOC’s Spring Tea 2024 will help give the gift of sight to millions of children.

Guest Speaker: Juliann Ford

Juliann Ford, Founder of Manners Prep, emphasizes the significance of good manners in various settings, whether at dinner or at special events at The White House and Diplomatic Receptions. Raised in San Diego, her exposure to local elites and social engagements laid the foundation for her understanding of etiquette. Marrying into the Ford family in 1989 expanded her experiences on a national and global scale. Juliann stresses that manners are not confined to formal occasions but are essential for daily interactions to leave a positive impression and foster self-confidence.

Juliann will be giving a brief presentation on the history of tea parties at VOC’s Sip to See, Springtime Tea!
